Linda holds an MPhil in Crop Protection (Plant Virology) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST, Kumasi and a BSc. in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast-Ghana. Linda joined the Institute’s molecular biology laboratory in 2009 and has since been committed in using molecular tools on all the Institute’s mandate crops. She also played vital roles in the development and release of several crop varieties of sweetpotato, maize and groundnuts.  Linda is also an analyst in the certification of virus-free yam and sweetpotato varieties for the yam and sweetpotato breeding programmes.

Linda currently focuses on managing the incidence of viruses on root and tuber crops and is also part of the team working on the West African Virus Epidemiology (WAVE) project- a project that seeks to track the emergence and management of the African Cassava Mosaic Virus (ACMV) in Ghana.

Linda is an alumnus of the CONNECTED V4 programme (2019)-a world community and network of plant virus experts and a fellow of the African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD, 2010). She has several national and international training in scientific and leadership skills and has published in very reputable, high impact peer-reviewed journals.
She has served as a resource person in several “role modelling” events where female scientists counsel young girls in senior high schools on choosing a career in science.
Linda doubles as the assistant technical manager as well as a supervisor in the ISO 170205:2005 accredited laboratory at the molecular biology unit of the Institute.
