Dr. Adu-Dapaah won the National Best Scientist Award – 2011

Dr. Hans Adu-Dapaah, and two other scientists of the Institute have won various awards at a ceremony organized as part of the first National Science Congress held at the Accra International Conference Centre from 2nd – 5th August, 2011.

Dr. Adu-Dapaah won the National Best Scientist Award. The prize for the award included a certificate and citation, a brand new Toyota Corolla saloon car and GHC 20,000.00.The citation that accompanied the award cataloged the personal academic and professional achievements of Dr. Adu-Dapaah and his contribution towards agricultural research and development.

The two other research scientists, Dr. Stephen Amoah and Mr. Michael K. Osei, were adjudged the first and second runners-up for the Young Scientists award. Dr. Stephen Amoah received GHc 7,500, a laptop and a citation as his prize while Mr. Michael K. Osei received GHc 5,000, a laptop and a citation.
