Research Interests: Research on fruits crops (pineapple and mango) with focus on its improvement by understanding the role of plant genetics in the design of sustainable production systems, identifying relevant traits useful in these systems, combining them within superior germplasm, and integrating this germplasm into an optimized system for crop yield, quality, adaptability and nutrient use efficiency.

Brief Bio:

Mr. Antwi-Boasiako is currently a PhD candidate in Crop Genetics and Breeding at Nanjing Agricultural University, China. He holds an MPhil Agronomy (Plant Breeding) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as well as  B.Ed (Agriculture) degree from the University of Education Winneba (UEW). His current research is geared towards genetic improvement of pineapple and mango and their value chain development. Previously, he has worked on breeding for resistance to soybean diseases (rust, white mold and bacterial leaf pustule) and shattering.
