Dr. Kwadwo is a Plant Breeder with the Roots and Tuber division of the CSIR-Crops Research Institute and holds a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He also holds an M.Sc. in Agronomy (Plant Breeding) from KNUST and a B.Sc. in Agriculture and a Diploma in Education- both from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast.
His research focuses mainly on genetic improvement of crops (root and tubers, legumes) for enhanced productivity, improved nutrition, diversified utilization, better income and livelihoods. He was the lead scientist in the team that worked to release two (2) sweetpotato varieties namely CRI-Mbofara and CRI-Gavana.
