Dr. Benjamin Annor joined the CSIR-Crops Research Institute in 2016 as a Principal Technologist and has since been involved in the breeding and agronomy of maize, okra, onion, garlic and jute. He is currently working on a CSIR-sponsored project titled “Germplasm collection, Characterization and Evaluation of Okra Accessions for High Fruit Yield, Prolong Harvesting Duration and Early Maturity”.
Benjamin holds a Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, an M.Sc. Agronomy (Crop Science) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a B.Sc. (Agricultural Technology) from the University for Development Studies, Nyankpala, Ghana.
He worked with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria from 2012 – 2016 as a Research Supervisor, a Research Associate and a Research Fellow before joining the Horticulture Division of the CSIR-Crops Research Institute as a Plant Breeder.
Dr. Annor is a member of the Ghana Institute of Horticulturists (GhIH).
