Mr. Bright Boakye Peprah attended Kumasi Academy and holds an M.Phil. (Crop Science) degree from the University of Ghana, Legon, a B.Sc. (Agricultural Science) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and a Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba.
He joined the CSIR- Crops Research Institute in 2008 and is currently a research scientist working on cassava improvement. He has been involved in the development of 12 new cassava varieties in Ghana.
His research interest is focused on the genetic improvement of nutritional quality of cassava. Currently, he is working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation on beta carotene in cassava. He was a member of the team that won the “2015 Best Research Team in Ghana”.
Mr. Peprah has participated in several training courses and around the world and has authored or co-authored a number of scientific papers and conference papers.
