Mr. Bernard Sakyiamah attended the Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School (PRESEC), Legon and joined the CSIR-Crops Research Institute in 2016 as a Scientific Secretary. He holds an M.Phil. (Agricultural Economics) from the University of Ghana, Legon and a B.Sc. (Agricultural Engineering) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

His M.Phil. thesis was entitled “Food Demand Patterns in Ghanaian Urban Households” and has been published in the Review of Agricultural and Applied Economics journal. The paper estimated food budget shares for eleven (11) food groups and computed their elasticities across five income groups.

Bernard is the focal person for scientific reporting at the Institute and also manages the Institute’s Social Media platforms.
