Mr. Seth O. Ekyem attended Winneba Senior High School. He holds a Diploma in Agricultural Extention and Farm Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in General Agriculture, Diploma in Education and M.phil (Crop Science) from the University of Cape Coast. He also holds a Certificate in Research and Production Technology from International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Ibadan, Nigeria and a Certificate in Vegetable Research from Asian Vegetable Research and Development Centre (AVRDC), Arusha, Tanzania.

He has varied research interests in integrated weed management and agronomy of vegetable crops. He is currently involved in the development of intercrop of indigenous leafy vegetables with pepper and eggplant. He is also interested in safe chemical weed management in cocoyam, yam and sweet potato.

Mr. Ekyem has the following affiliations: 

•    Member of CSIR- Research Staff Association (RSA)

•    Ghana Institute of Horticulturist (GhIH)

Mr. Ekyem has a number of peer reviewed publications in international journals. He has travelled extensively within Ghana, conducting research, and participated in workshops. He is currently a Research Scientist (Weed Scientist/Agronomist) at the CSIR-Crops Research Institute.
